The Spring Solstice Encaustic Art Retreat is a small in person workshop in which students connect with themselves and others over four hours at my personal home. We will ground ourselves into the art practice doing short mediations around the fire, introducing ourselves, and discussing how art is therapy. The second half of the evening consists of a free form encaustic workshop where students will learn and create their own pieces to take home, pulling from a myriad of supplies and florals provided. They are welcome to make multiple pieces during this open art time, learning how the hot wax pours and dries inside various frames, going home with a little bag of inspirational pieces that they can hang or gift to others.
